Awesome! I like putting space images as my desktop background and this is easily as deserving as other real pictures. Keep up the good work.

Looks like the surface of the sun. Very nice. Just spent 5 minutes on google trying to figure out what filter is used to make it look blue. Couldn't find it. Still the picture is very cool.

Thanks for the comment. Well I used the variable ztranslate at 1 which gives it a rising effect. For the final tranform I used Julia 3D which give it a round effect which makes it really look like the horizon :) I hope this helps you. Have fun with making fractals! I do!

Cool. I was actually talking about the filter on the actual sun picture that it looks like. I think it's a gamma filter, not sure. But thanks for that though. I have never been able to get ztranslate to work for me.

Utterly amazing. I guess you did this with Julians, but how could you actually make it look so much like a bursting planet? And the stars, they're so great! What's your secret? :D

Yep you're right! I did use some Julian :D
To make it look like it's bursting, I used ztranslate that makes it shoot upwards :) Finally, to give it a round, planet like look, for the final transform, I used Julia 3D which gives it a ball like effect. I hope this helps you. I have a lot of fun making this :)

It does look like a space shot which is why I love it! I really like space like fractals and this has to be my favorite so far :)
